Our campsite, Etang d'Ardy, is ideally located in the Landes to allow you to learn more about all the treasures of the region. Let yourself be seduced by the wealth of landscapes, heritage and activities. Between walks in the forest, village visits and nautical activities, you won't have time to get bored during your holidays in the Landes.

20 kilometers from the campsite The Landes beaches

In less than 30 minutes by car, from our campsite in Saint-Paul-Lès-Dax, you will be on the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast as far as the eye can see. We give you an appointment in the municipalities of Seignosse, Capbreton, Hossegor, Moliets, Messanges and Labenne.

Amateurs & Insiders Aquatic activities

The Atlantic Ocean is a paradise for beginners and professional surfers. Lessons can be given on the various beaches on the coast. Take a tour through Hossegor, Seignosse, Capbreton and Biscarrosse, you will be captivated by the postcard scenery of the Landes Coast. 

For calmer walks, a few kilometers from our establishment, you can rent a canoe-kayak, a canoe or a stand-up paddle, at Exit the Abbey.  

Sharing & Conviviality Landes festivals

The Landes are famous for their festive festivals where young and old, locals and tourists, meet for a day or an evening.

In Dax, don't miss the Féria in mid-August. Wear your red and white clothes and take part in one of the highlights of the year in Dax.

The summer season is also marked by many night markets, present throughout the Landes Coast, where producers and craftsmen present their products at nightfall.

The Landais have invented their own bullfighting: a game between man and cow, without killing. The retractor offers spectacular figures that will surprise visitors.

Are you traveling to the Landes with your children? The region offers many activities and visits suitable for the whole family. We advise you to discover the Ducazaux Discovery Farm – Donzacq in the Chalosse , to go through the La Dame-Brassempouy House and Archaeological Park to immerse yourself in prehistoric times, take a trip to the Parc du Sarrat in Dax with its more than 1,200 trees and finally, to discover the zoo Oceafaunia in Labenne-Océan.

The Landes and the Basque Country are two rich regions. During a short or long stopover in our family campsite in Les Landes, we advise you to go through some of these essentials:

  • Bayonne (38 km): city full of charm with cobbled and narrow streets. Don't miss the Chocolate Museum .
  • Arthous Abbey – Hastingues (32 km): prehistoric, Gallo-Roman and medieval remains.
  • The Pic de la Rhune (75 km): cogwheel train crossing the Basque Country from Hendaye to Saint-Jean-de-Luz and offering breathtaking panoramas.
  • The Arènes de Dax (8 km): built in 1913, they host Landes festivals and shows.

We give you an appointment in the restaurants and on the markets to taste all the specialties: Beef from Chalosse, Tourtière with apples, Flambée with Armagnac, Landais duck and its foie gras, Landais free-range chicken, Carrots from Les Sables des Landes , Kiwi from the Adour, Asparagus from the Landes and Pastis Landais, without forgetting Floc de Gascogne in white or red, Tursan AOC wine and Armagnac.
